D’IBERVILLE (GG) — D’Iberville got a little saucy on Saturday, March 28th, during the D’Iberville BBQ Festival, where the grills were hot, the music was loud, and just about everyone had a plate in one hand and a napkin they’d already given up on in the other.

Mosaic Church kept the grills going as the festival unfolded into a full-day gathering that was equal parts cook-off and cookout. Cornhole boards stayed busy, kids ran laps between tents, and a steady stream of live music gave the day its rhythm while people stained their shirts with BBQ sauce.

Cook-off teams served up brisket, ribs, and BBQ chicken, each plate entering the friendly but fierce competition. In the Lagniappe People’s Choice category, guests sampled their way through the lineup, casting votes between bites and debating which flavors deserved bragging rights. Pickin’ Grillin drew attention with its award-winning sauces and rubs, while Granny’s Delicious Hotdogs held court beneath a bright red tent that was nearly impossible to miss. For those needing a break from the smoke and spice, Gulf Coast Sweet Nuts, LLC offered a sugary crunch, and MawMaw’s Snowballs came through with a cool-down from the Mississippi heat.

By the afternoon, the evidence of a good time was everywhere: sticky fingers, sauce-smeared smiles, and plates that didn’t stay full for long. With live performances from Gram Rae and No Plain Jane keeping the energy up, and a strong turnout from across the Coast. The D’Iberville BBQ Festival proved itself a flavorful success. Bringing the community together over good food, good music, and more than a little extra sauce.
