PASS CHRISTIAN (GG) — Pass Christian’s softball team had won ten straight at home, but on Thursday, March 26 they bumped up to 16-4-1 (3-1) to make it 11. They never let the Bay High Lady Tigers get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory and their fourth region victory. Pitcher Bristol Jones was dominant in the circle, as the hurler rang up 13 strikeouts in Pass Christian Lady Pirates’s 4-0 victory over Bay on Thursday. Jones gave up two hits and zero runs over seven innings while walking two.

A single by Olivia Snell put Pass Christian on the board in the bottom of the second.  Kayden Scheid hit a solo home run to center field in the bottom of the fifth for the Lady Pirates.  Scheid and Mia Lacy each collected two hits for Pass Christian. Snell and Scheid each drove in one run for Pass Christian Lady Pirates while they didn’t commit a single error in the field. Lacy had the most chances in the field with 13.

As for Bay, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That’s put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

On Tuesday, March 24, the Lady Pirates dropped their first region game on the road against the Greene County Lady Wildcats 2-0 Tuesday, March 24, 2026 ending a three game winning streak.  Pass Christian moved to second in the MHSAA 8-4A with a 16-4-1 record and 3-1 in region play. Bristol Jones started on the mound striking out 15 batters, but the hurler surrendered four hits and two runs over six innings while walking none.

As for Greene County, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-6. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games.

For Greene County’s part, not much got past Addie Tungett, who gave up just a hit and racked up 11 Ks to keep Pass Christian off the board. Tungett has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn’t given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Shanna Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

Olivia Snell led Pass Christian Lady Pirates with one hit in three at bats.
