MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST (GG) — Tropical Disturbance 93L, currently located off the east coast of Florida, is expected to drift west into the Gulf through Tuesday, and into the north-central Gulf Wednesday and Thursday. While gradual development into a tropical depression is possible, Excessive Rainfall is the greatest threat for Harrison County.

Current forecasts are calling for 3 to 6 inches of rain possible through Sunday. Up to 10 inches of rain is possible in some locations. Flash flooding and rises on local creeks and rivers are possible.

To prepare for rain, interests in Coastal Mississippi should check and clear drains and ditches, and ensure readiness of property for multiple days of rainfall.

There is a medium (40%) chance of a tropical cyclone forming in the Northern Gulf later this week as a disturbance moves westward from Florida.

Continue monitoring official forecasts of the National Hurricane Center and the National Weather Service, and maintain readiness of your emergency supplies and plans.
