LONG BEACH (GG) — The Long Beach Excellence in Education Foundation has established an annual scholarship in memory of long-time Long Beach High School Career Center Technician Connie Tucker, who passed away earlier this year.
A proud Long Beach High School graduate, Tucker returned to her alma mater and dedicated more than two decades to serving students. She worked tirelessly to connect graduating seniors with scholarships and grant opportunities, and she supported students entering the workforce by helping them secure employment. Her commitment to students was evident, and she approached her work with genuine passion and care.
To honor her legacy of service, the Foundation will award the first Long Beach Excellence in Education Foundation – Connie Tucker Memorial Scholarship in May 2026, with plans to continue the award annually.
The Long Beach Excellence in Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed to support the Long Beach School District, its teachers, and its students.
