BAY ST. LOUIS (GG) — Saint Stanislaus College Prep has named Evan Gay as the new head football coach of the Rock-A-Chaws announced Monday, January 5, 2026.

Gay returns to Saint Stanislaus after previously serving as the program’s quarterback coach during the 2021 season. Since his departure at SSC, Gay served as head football coach at The Webb School in Bell Buckle, Tennessee, where he led the program to its best season in school history in 2024.

Under his leadership, Webb earned its first playoff appearance since 2020, averaging 39 points and more than 400 yards of offense per game following the implementation of a new system.

“I am truly honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve as head football coach at Saint  Stanislaus,” Gay said. “This is a school with a rich tradition, strong values, and a deep commitment to developing young men of character, discipline, and faith. My vision is to build a culture rooted in accountability, toughness, and brotherhood—one that challenges  our student-athletes to excel not only on the football field, but in the classroom and in their daily lives.”

“Football is a powerful tool for teaching leadership, resilience, and responsibility,” Gay  added. “Our staff will be intentional in preparing our players for success long after their playing days are over. I look forward to working alongside the administration, faculty, families, alumni, and students as we build a program that represents Saint Stanislaus with pride, integrity, and competitive excellence.”

In addition to his coaching background, Gay brings extensive leadership experience from his service in the United States Army. He served as an Infantry Squad Leader (Sergeant, E 5) at Fort Hood, Texas, from 2005–2010 and was deployed twice to Iraq, including combat operations in Sadr City.

Gay holds a Master of Science in Sports Administration (2020) and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology (2019), both from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

The Rockachaws finished 1-9 and was the first time they did play in the MHSAA playoffs for over a decade.
