LONG BEACH (GG) — The friendly city transformed into a vibrant party hub on June 28th, as friends and family came together to celebrate the third annual 4th of July Jubilee. The air buzzed with unmistakable patriotism, decked out with American flags generously donated by WoodmenLife, adorning every inch of the downtown area. This all-day extravaganza—from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.—took over downtown Long Beach, filling the streets with spirit and smiles.

The Jeff Davis Avenue Block Party offered something for everyone, showcasing the city in all its natural glory with a few added extras. The Harper McCaughan Town Green was alive with color, dotted with tents featuring a diverse array of vendors, from captivating books to charming crocheted crafts.

A quaint parade of golf carts, for the most part, corralled the little ones. Led by Grand Marshal Colonel Hall and followed by soon-to-be mayor, Tim Pierce, the parade consisted of various golf carts decorated in American Fashion, handing out flags and goodies. The celebration was a whirlwind of joy and community spirit, though, regrettably, the fun was over in about fifteen minutes.

Not to worry, Autumn Rise-N took the stage immediately afterward, transforming the road into an electrifying music venue that had everyone dancing.  The celebration commenced with a dazzling fireworks display that lit up the night sky at the end of Jeff Davis Avenue, leaving unforgettable memories for all.

This would be Mayor George Bass’s last event as the Mayor of Long Beach, what a symbolic ending to an amazing term, with a spectacular bang!
