BILOXI (GG) — Lil Wayne sauntered onto the Mississippi Coast Coliseum stage with a charisma that could not be excused, electric guitar in hand, bringing the stage to life for his “20 Years of Carter Classics” tour in Biloxi on Friday, August 14th.
Within moments, the seats became obsolete. The undeniable beats and clever bars turned the crowd into a sea of raised hands, bobbing heads, and bouncing feet, stretching from the floor to the nosebleeds. Young and old fans sold out the show, proving some music does not come with an expiration date.
The Biloxi stop marked the 13th stop of Wayne’s 2026 tour, which celebrates two decades of the Tha Carter albums and the music that followed.
The tour began June 30th in Bangor, Maine, and is scheduled to continue through October 23rd in Knoxville, Tennessee, with more than 20 dates across major U.S. markets. 2 Chainz is joining Wayne for many dates, while The Game is scheduled to make special appearances at select stops, with even more surprises in store.
2 Chainz opened with no mercy, inviting the crowd to partake in his signature ad-libs. Then came Lil Wayne.
With a high-tech stage illuminating the Coliseum with constantly changing graphics, flashing lights, and massive screens that captured every movement, right down to the sweat on Wayne’s face, every seat suddenly felt like a front-row ticket.

Wayne tore through hits including “6 Foot 7 Foot,” “A Milli,” “Mrs. Officer,” “Lollipop,” and “Swag Surf,” among others, turning the concert into a giant singalong that even surprised the Grammy-award-winning artist at times.
Between verses, Wayne repeatedly thanked the crowd, taking in the uproar that followed each song before launching into the next.
For nearly two hours, the rapper moved across the stage, danced, played guitar, and kept the energy climbing. There were no ordinary water breaks, either, as Wayne opted for a smoke instead.
The night even came with a little Carter-era theatrics.
What began as Wayne shedding his jacket eventually became a slow, teasing strip down, with the long sleeve following the jacket and, eventually, the undershirt. By the time he reached the final layer, the crowd had already been thoroughly entertained.
For those looking to fully immerse themselves in the Carter experience, the night even had its own drink. The Carter Classic, a combination of Hennessy and Coke, may not have been sizzurp, but it gave fans something to sip until they saw double with the surprise appearance of Lil Wayne’s kin, Lil Novi.

As Wayne reminded the crowd that “real Gs move in silence like lasagna,” there was little silence to be found inside the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
After nearly two hours of jumping, dancing, singing, and shouting, Lil Wayne performed, the Carter Classics were resurrected, and the crowd was left as the name of the night promised: Weezy.
