LONG BEACH (GG) — On Thursday, July 2, 2026, the Long Beach Police Department responded to a reported shooting at a residence in the 18000 block of Allen Road. Upon arrival, officers located a 38-year-old white male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. EMS responded to the scene, and the victim was pronounced deceased.

During the course of the investigation, detectives identified 38-year-old Hollis Wayne Russ as the suspect. An arrest warrant charging Russ with Murder has been obtained.

The Long Beach Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Russ, who was last seen at a residence in Moss Point, Mississippi.
