HARRISON COUNTY (GG) — The Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect for Harrison county. Tropical Storm (TS) Bertha is 180 miles southeast of Gulfport, Mississippi and its movement is North-Northwest (345) at 3 mph. Bertha has a current intensity of 60 mph, and additional strengthening is possible.
Bertha is forecast to bring the threat of tropical storm force wind gusts, locally heavy rainfall generally south of I-10 of 2-4 inches with isolated areas seeing up to 6 inches. The coastal areas of Mississippi will have the greatest threat, especially along and south of I-10 between Tuesday night and into early Thursday morning. Storm surge is currently forecast to reach 2 to 4 feet above ground at high tide.
