PASS CHRISTIAN (GG) — On Wednesday, July 15, the Pass Christian Library presented Diggasaurus: Don’t Worry, BEE Happy (and clean your room!), a family workshop.
Library patrons of all ages learned about honeybees with Elizabeth McCaffrey from the Magnolia Honeybee Education Exchange (MHBee). This was another exciting family program sponsored by the Pass Christian Garden Club.
MHBee was formed to inspire beekeeping communities and promote pollinator habitat preservation by fostering a deeper understanding of honeybees, native pollinators, and the indispensable role they play in Mississippi’s agricultural and ecological systems through educational and charitable programs.
The Pass Christian Garden Club was founded in 1930 and reorganized in 1950. Its purpose is to encourage community beautification, conserve natural resources, and provide gardening education for members. The Pass Christian Library proudly partners with the Pass Christian Garden Club to provide free, family-friendly gardening programs for the community.
At the Diggasaurus: Don’t Worry, Bee Happy (and clean your room!) family workshop, everyone took part in hands-on activities and asked questions. There were crafts, and many community members attended. The Pass Christian Public Library is located at 111 Hiern Ave. For more information, call 228-452-4596.
