PASS CHRISTIAN (GG) — The Coast Casual family is growing in Pass Christian with the opening of Coast Chic, a new women’s boutique offering apparel designed for everyday coastal living.

Located at 117 Hayden Ave., Suite B, Coast Chic officially opened its doors on Friday, July 17th, welcoming shoppers with refreshments, a first look at its collections, and the opportunity to explore the newest addition to the Coast brand.

Owner Kaitlyn Kidd said the boutique was created to complement Coast Casual, giving women the same relaxed coastal style that has become the foundation of the men’s store.

“The whole goal was that Coast Casual was men’s clothes, like what my husband and my kids would wear,” Kidd said. “So the women’s store is really what I would want to wear and what I can wear to chase my kids around in. It’s just things that I would normally wear that I hope will be a good complement to the men’s store.”

While Coast Chic is now open, Kidd said the boutique will continue to evolve as new inventory arrives and customers share feedback about what they’d like to see on the racks.

“It feels exciting, but also overwhelming,” she said. “We have shipments coming in literally every day this weekend and next week, so it’s definitely a work in progress.”

Kidd hopes shoppers will help shape the store by sharing their preferences as the business continues to grow.

“Come check it out, come see us, and tell us what you like and don’t like so we can adjust to everybody’s tastes and what they want to see,” she said.

Among the boutique’s offerings are athleisure styles as well as an expanding selection of plus-size apparel.

“We’re adding in plus size so that we have some options and everybody can be included,” she said.

Coast Chic is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is closed Mondays.
