GULFPORT (GG) — The Gulfport Chamber of Commerce 13th annual Taste, Rattle & Roll fundraiser will be held at Barksdale Pavilion in Jones Park Gulfport on Thursday, May 7, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. for a special “tasting” event.

The Gulfport Chamber will welcome local vendors for the evening to represent the best restaurants, local food and beverages along the coast.  This is a 21 and older event.

Butch Simpson, Chair of the Gulfport Chamber, shared, “Taste, Rattle and Roll is a signature event for the Gulfport Chamber, supporting our small business grant program which makes it much more than a “tasting” event. We’re especially excited about the new location at Barksdale Pavilion in Jones Park. Guests can look forward to a varied selection of food and beverages from local businesses while enjoying a beautiful view.”

Laura Benoit, director of the Gulfport Chamber, added, “We’re thrilled to partner with the City of Gulfport to bring this annual event to Barksdale Pavilion. Taste, Rattle & Roll is a can’t-miss celebration where guests can enjoy a wide variety of ‘tastes’ from some of the region’s local establishments. The Chamber is proud to support our business community by showcasing the incredible talent that makes Gulfport unique, and we’re grateful for the vendors and sponsors who help make this event possible each year. We’re also excited to once again partner with Mississippi Gulf Fresh Seafood to host the Mississippi Seafood Cook-Off as part of the festivities. In addition to sampling local flavors, attendees will have the opportunity to watch some of the state’s most talented chefs compete for the title of King or Queen of Mississippi Seafood. The winner will go on to represent Mississippi at the national competition.”

Advance Taste, Rattle & Roll event tickets are available online for $45 each until 12:00 p.m. May 6 (day of the event tickets will be $50 each). To purchase Taste, Rattle & Roll tickets visit mscoastchamber.com or call 288.604.0014.
