PASS CHRISTIAN (GG) — DeLisle Elementary School (DES) Pre-K students visited Green Acres Creamery to begin their Things That Grow unit. During the trip, students explored the farm, observed animals, and learned how milk comes from cows and is turned into food.

A highlight of the day was making their own butter, giving students a hands-on look at how simple ingredients can change and grow into something new. They also observed plants and discussed what living things need to grow, such as sunlight, water, and care.

They ended their trip by enjoying some of the creamery’s delicious ice cream, making it a fun and memorable experience that sparked excitement for their new unit!
