LONG BEACH (GG) — On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, the city of Long Beach issued a release that will begin roadway improvements on Klondyke Road from Y Not Stop to LaRosa Road during the week as part of the ongoing efforts to enhance local infrastructure and improve driving conditions for residents and visitors. Work on the project starts with milling operations on Wednesday, March 11 and Thursday, March 12. Paving will begin on Friday, March 13 and continue on Monday, March 16.
During construction, motorists should expect lane closures, traffic control measures, and possible delays in the area. Drivers are encouraged to use caution, follow posted signage, detour and allow extra travel time when traveling through the construction zone.
“These types of projects are an important investment in our city’s infrastructure,” said Long Beach Mayor Tim Pierce. “Improving road conditions helps enhance safety and accessibility for our residents and ensures our transportation network continues to support the growth of our community.”
Long Beach expresses appreciation to the community’s patience and cooperation as crews complete this improvement project. For updates and additional information, follow the city of Long Beach on social media or visit the city website.
