BILOXI (GG) — Goodwill Industries of South Mississippi is proud to announce that Jeannine Johnston has  been named the new Director of Mission Services & Fund Development. 

Johnston began her career with Goodwill in 2020 as an E-Commerce Manager at Goodwill  Industries of Mississippi based in Jackson, serving the central region of Mississippi. In  February 2024, she stepped into the role of Workforce Development Supervisor, directing  workforce training programs for re-entry populations, leading Pre-ETS classes and Job  Extravaganzas for local school districts, and helping to launch two community career  centers to expand access to employment opportunities. 

“I’m passionate about creating opportunities that bring together my skills in customer  service, technology, leadership, and workforce training,” said Johnston. “My goal is to  contribute to this organization where I can collaborate with a strong team, work hard to  achieve meaningful results, and help drive growth and impact through innovation and  service.” 

Originally from Madison, Mississippi, Johnston holds a bachelor’s degree in business  management from Mississippi State University. She is also a recent graduate of Goodwill’s  Senior Leader Program, which she completed in August 2025. 

“We are excited to welcome Jeannine into this role,” said Vicki Burton, President & CEO of  Goodwill South Mississippi. “Her passion for our mission and expertise in workforce  development make her the ideal leader to oversee our programs and fund development  efforts. She will also help us expand our mission of serving the community through career  training and workforce opportunities.” 

Goodwill of South Mississippi operates 12 retail stores, an e-commerce operation, career centers,  and community programs, reinvesting 90 cents of every dollar to create jobs, provide workforce  training, and build brighter futures for individuals across South Mississippi.
