LONG BEACH (GG) — The Friendly City of Long Beach announces that asphalt repairs will be conducted on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 on Beatline Road at the intersection of Spring Drive to address a dip in the roadway. The work will be performed by Warren Paving and is scheduled to begin after the morning traffic peak in order to minimize disruption.
Lane closures and appropriate traffic control measures will be in place throughout the project.
Motorists are encouraged to plan for possible delays and detour, use caution when traveling through the area, and follow all posted signage and directions from traffic control personnel.
Back on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, the Long Beach Board of Aldermen approved the asphalt trench overlay at the intersection based on a recommendation by the city engineer. Before the vote, the aldermen chose to table a suggested revision of the code, which referred to resurfacing and pavement repairs until a scheduled work session for Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at Long Beach City Hall.
