GULFPORT (GG) — On Thursday, January 29, 2026, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) confirmed that Harrison County Deputies responded to a shooting at Steeplechase Drive in Gulfport, Mississippi.
According to Harrison County Sheriff Matt Haley, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) received calls of a shooting on Steeplechase Drive on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at approximately 8:45 p.m. The county deputies arrived on scene to find one male who sustained gunshot wounds.
The male was transported to a local hospital to receive treatment and is listed as being in stable condition. The investigation revealed this incident began as a physical altercation that resulted in an exchange of gunfire.
