PASS CHRISTIAN (GG) — The kindergarten and first-grade students at DeLisle Elementary School (DES) have been busy exploring the world beyond the classroom this last week!
First graders recently took a trip to the Institute for Marine Mammal Studies (IMMS), where they learned all about ocean life and the animals that live along our coast. Students enjoyed hands-on exhibits, watched dolphins and sea lions up close, and discovered how scientists help care for marine animals. It was a fun and educational day filled with curiosity and wonder!
The DES kindergarteners celebrated the season with visits to the pumpkin patch, the fire station, and the public library. They picked pumpkins, enjoyed fall fun with friends, met real firefighters who shared fire safety tips, and explored the library while learning about books and how to check them out. It was an exciting way to learn about community helpers and the world around them!
Both grade levels returned with new knowledge, happy hearts, and stories to share. What a wonderful way to make learning come alive!
The DeLisle Elementary School (DES) is a school in the Pass Christian Public School District.
