LONG BEACH (GG) — The spirit of fall was alive and well on Thursday, October 23rd, during Reeves Elementary’s annual Fall Festival. The school’s playground was transformed, inviting students, families, and community members for an evening packed with games, prizes, and plenty of laughter. The event is a long-standing tradition in the Long Beach School District, bringing people together to support the school and enjoy time with friends.

From the ever-popular cakewalk to the thrilling 50/50 raffle, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The festival’s raffle baskets were a major highlight, featuring creative collections donated by classrooms and community members — one even included a Pass Christian-themed version of Monopoly!

The excitement did not stop there. Guests lined up for pony rides, tested their skills at game booths, and even took turns at the dunking booth, where teachers took the plunge.

Luck and skill both played a part in the night’s festivities. The 50/50 raffle went to student Harry, while Mrs. Puckett nearly guessed the exact number of candies in the jar — her guess of 820 was just five away from the correct count of 825. Olivia Brown also took home a prize, earning front-row seats to the 3rd grade promotion ceremony.

Teachers, staff, and volunteers worked together to organize the event, while families and friends showed strong support by attending and participating. The Fall Festival once again proved to be a great evening for the Reeves community — full of laughter, friendly competition, and school pride.
