LONG BEACH (GG) — Several proclamations and announcements were given during the Board of Aldermen meeting at city hall in Long Beach Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
The first was recognizing September 2025 as National Childhood Cancer awareness month with Long Beach Mayor Tim Pierce presenting the proclamation to Officer Amanda Branning. Then, Buddy Ray, owner of Rosalie Car Wash was honored for 30 years in business.
Ray did a little speech thanking the city of Long Beach and explaining how the car wash got its name. Shortly after, two men made the request to place a community garden for Long Beach Methodist Church.
Finally, a Temporary Trailer Placement for Philip Tomeny & his wife was approved. A fire started, they lost everything. They are asking permission to have a temporary home in part of their land while they rebuild which they estimate around 6 months before they may move back.
