GULFPORT (GG) — On Thursday morning, August 21, 2025, Harrison County Sheriff’s Office arrested two suspects on felony drug trafficking charges following an undercover operation by the Harrison County Narcotics Task Force in Gulfport, Mississippi. As a result, Yarnesia Ro’Shay McClary and Elton Bernard McKinzy Jr. both of Tallahassee, Florida were arrested on a felony charge of Trafficking a Controlled Substance (Marijuana).
On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, Harrison County Narcotics Task Force Investigators conducted an undercover operation and identified two vehicles suspected of trafficking bulk marijuana. Investigators located the vehicles at a gas station on 25th Avenue in Gulfport and contacted the drivers, identified as Yarnesia McClary and Elton McKinzy Jr.
A probable cause search of the vehicles yielded approximately 25 pounds of bulk marijuana concealed in the cargo area of an SUV and approximately $30,000 in currency.
The suspects were each arrested for Trafficking a Controlled Substance and transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center held in lieu of a $250,000.00 bond set by Harrison County Justice Court Judge Albert J. Fountain.
