MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST (GG) — Milesplit MS, a division of FloSports that covers track and field and cross country in Mississippi, recently announced selections for All-State honors following season. This is the first year that Milesplit MS has announced an All-State team in the sport of track & field. The selections were categorized by first team, second team, third team, & honorable mention.

First team selections from Class 4A Pass Christian include Ollie Bailey (800m, 1:59.89), Erik Lindmark (800m, 1:57.74), the boys’ 4x400m relay team (3:25.59), the boys’ 4x800m relay team (8:15.67), Grant Akers (pole vault, 12’ 1”), Harmony Walker (100m, 12.25), Anaya Bradley (200m, 25.53), the Lady Pirates’ 4x100m relay team (48.91), the Lady Pirates’ 4x400m relay team (4:16.07), the Lady Pirates’ 4x200m relay team (1:44.51), Madison Jacobs (triple jump, 36’ 6”), and Takiya Tyson (triple jump, 36’ 5”).

First team selections for Class 6A Long Beach include the boys’ 4x100m relay team (42.90).

First team selections for Class 6A West Harrison include Joshua Lane (shot put, 47’ 7”; discus, 150’), Sean Fairley (discus, 189’ 2”), and McKinley Humbles (shot put, 36’ 9 3/4”).

Second team selections for Pass Christain include Lindmark (400m, 51.03), Paris Trivillion (long jump, 21’ 8 1/2”), Landon Hall (high jump, 6’ 2”), Hardy Belt (high jump, 6’ 2”), Bradley (100m, 12.36), and Walker (200m, 25.63).

Second team selections for Long Beach include Tori Washington (discus, 107’ 4”).

Third team selections for Pass Christian include Tristan Jones (200m, 22.53), Nolan Akers (800m, 2:04.33), Samuel King (shot put, 45’ 3 1/2”), Stefan King (discus, 129’ 2”), Kailey Taylor (400m, 1:01.99; 800m, 2:34.91), Khloee Vinsonhaler (300m hurdles, 49.84), the Lady Pirates’ 4x800m relay team (11:10.42), and Maleygh Acker (long jump, 16’ 11”).

Third team selections for Long Beach include the boys’ 4x800m relay team (9:07.26), and Shayla Nguyen (triple jump, 33’ 10 3/4”).

Third team selections for West Harrison include Diana Carr (3200m, 13:13.92) and Jewelz Galloway (pole vault, 7’ 6”).

Honorable mention selections for Pass Christian include Ryland Shoulders (200m, 22.67), Nolan Akers (1600m, 4:49.34), Jacob Fuller (3200m, 10:56.66), Hardy Belt (300m hurdles, 43.67; 110m hurdles, 16.16), the boys’ 4x200m relay team (1:32.63), and Sheldon Stapleton (triple jump, 42’ 6”), Megan Dedeaux (100m, 12.74), and Nola Ellis (pole vault, 7’).

Honorable mention selections for Long Beach include Evan Barrone (200m, 22.72) and the girls’ 4x200m relay team (1:51.00).

Honorable mention selections for West Harrison include the girls’ 4x100m relay team (52.32), the girls’ 4x200m relay team (1:50.93), and McKinley Humbles (discus, 87’ 4”).

Micah Bishop, of Saint Stanislaus, was named first team All-State in the 110m hurdles (14.78, state champion Class 3A) and the 300m hurdles (40.15, state runner-up).

Brett Tyler, of Saint Stanislaus, was named first team All-State in shot put (48’ 6”) and discus (160’ 10”, state champion Class 3A).

Emily Reinike, of OLA, was named first team All-State in high jump (5’ 4”, state champion Class 3A) and the Crescents’ 4x400m relay team was named first team (4:15.83, state runner-up).

Second team selections include Salvatore Riccardi (SSC, discus, 138’), the SSC 4x400m relay team (3:33.82), Lochlan Miller of Saint Stanislaus (pole vault), the OLA 4x200m relay team (1:48.66), and the OLA 4x800m relay team (10:46.01).

Third team selections include Bishop (200m, SSC, 22.42), the SSC 4x800m relay (8:56.30), Will Compretta (SSC, pole vault, 10’), and Riley Cruthirds (OLA, 400m, 1:02.47).
