BILOXI (GG) — On Monday, May 12, the Harrison County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved four concurring orders from the Development Commission authorizing their actions in a few separate circumstances at the courthouse in Biloxi (Judicial District Two). These measures are:
- Approving the sale of six acres of property to Safe Structure Designs, LLC in accordance with the purchase offer, which authorized the conveyance of the property pursuant to a Special Warranty Deed.
- Approved an assignment and assumption of the real estate purchase order entered into between Metal Properties, LLC and Metal Properties MS, LLC.
- Approved the conveyance of a non-exclusive easement to Pass Business Terminal, LLC (GunHo in Pass Christian) in accordance with the easement agreement for Ingress and Egress.
- Approved the sale of .5 acres of property to STS Properties, LLC in accordance with the purchase offer, having a purchase price of $5,000 and authorizing the conveyance of the property pursuant to a Special Warranty Deed.
Each item had been approved previously by a resolution from the Harrison County Development Commission. After the unanimous vote, the county Board of Supervisors chose to recess the next meeting until after the grand opening of Buc-ee’s Travel Center in rural Pass Christian, which is scheduled for June 9 at 10am.
Before the approval of the orders, the Harrison County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the remediation of damages caused by flooding in the Chancery Clerk’s Office, three Circuit Clerk courtrooms, a jury room, and adjacent hallways, which occurred at the county courthouse in Gulfport (Judicial District One) late April. All of these damages have been declared to be emergency repairs and the issuance of a contract to Guarantee Restoration was authorized pending legal review on behalf of Harrison County.
Finally, a Department of Sand Beach item was unanimously approved to create a beach vendor site at the West Pass Christian Harbor.
