PASS CHRISTIAN (GG) — Unprecedented (adjective): Never done or Known before

Friday, May 16th, marked a significant milestone in the lives of Pass Christian’s graduating class of 2025.

The students of the Pass Christian High School, ordained in their blue caps and gowns, entered the walls of the Pass Christian High School Gymnasium, where friends and family poured in, and walked the stage, accepting their diplomas as applause, screams, and air horns filled the room.

The ceremony beautifully began with an inspiring and heartfelt prayer led by the class president, Lathan J. Lewis, which enhanced the already excited, proud, and thankful atmosphere of the occasion, inviting everyone –students, faculty, and family– to take a moment to appreciate the journey that had brought them to this pivotal point.

It was a day filled with the celebration of notable achievements; indeed, the term ‘unprecedented’ aptly describes the extraordinary nature of this graduating class. This year, a proud total of 149 students successfully graduated, with an impressive 114 of them preparing to further their education by heading off to college in pursuit of their academic dreams.

Remarkably, 5 students have made the commendable decision to commit themselves to serve our country in the armed forces, displaying their courageous spirit and dedication to service. Meanwhile, 30 of the graduates have chosen to enter the workforce directly, ready to contribute their talents and skills to the community and the economy.

The accomplishments of this graduating class are highlighted by their collective acceptance of over 11 million dollars in scholarships, a testament to their hard work, persistence, and dedication throughout their academic careers.

The ceremony included heartfelt highlights, such as the recognition of outstanding scholars; among them were salutatorian Sarah K. Taylor and valedictorian Lillila J. Fuller, whose achievements will be remembered. In addition, it was noted with great pride that 53 graduates achieved their diplomas with Distinction, while 38 students graduated with Honors, embodying the high level of academic excellence and commitment to learning that is present within this remarkable class and fostered throughout the Pass Christian Public School District (PCPSD).

The intimate atmosphere of the graduation was filled with love and excitement, as the heartfelt emotions of pride and joy were palpable in the air.  Congratulations to the outstanding “Pirate Nation” graduating class of 2025!
