PASS CHRISTIAN (GG) — On Sunday April 27, 2025, the Pass Christian Police Department requested the public’s assistance with locating missing 38–year–old female, Joyce Gomez. At approximately 11:25am, a body was located deceased near W Wittmann Road by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office and confirmed by the Harrison County Coroner’s Office that it was Gomez.
Gomez was reported missing after last being seen on Friday, April 25th in Bay St Louis, Mississippi. During the investigation, Pass Christian Investigators believed it was possible that foul play was involved in Gomez’s disappearance.
This eventually led investigators to the location of Gomez’s body. This is an active investigation and arrests are forthcoming.
The Pass Christian Police Department expresses condolences to the family and friends of Joyce Gomez and thanks the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office and the Mississippi Department of Public Safety for helping with the investigation.
