BAY ST. LOUIS (GG) — Our Lady Academy is proud to announce that O’Brien Rose Lee has been named the school’s STAR Student for the 2024-2025 school year by the Mississippi Economic Council (MEC) Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program.
The STAR program recognizes academic excellence by selecting students based on American College Test (ACT) scores and scholastic averages. O’Brien earned this prestigious recognition with an ACT composite score of 32 and a superscore of 33. Her individual ACT subscores reflect her exceptional abilities: 36 in English, 34 in Reading, 31 in Math, and 32 in Science.
As part of the STAR program, each STAR Student designates a STAR Teacher, the educator who has had the greatest impact on their academic success. O’Brien has chosen Keene Golding as this year’s STAR Teacher. Both O’Brien and Golding will be honored at the Education Celebration, where the top 20 STAR Students will be named ALL-STAR Scholars and awarded scholarships.
