HARRISON COUNTY (GG) — On Wednesday, January 15, 2025, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kristopher Gibson, Robert Barnett III, Jessie Ray, David Crenshaw, Randy Smith Sr, Tom Martin, Trevor Lykins, and Malcolm Franklin whom all reside in Harrison County. Each of them were charged with one felony count of Receiving Stolen Property.
Over the last several months AT&T has reported numerous lines being cut in various locations throughout Harrison County, Hancock County and Stone County. Harrison County Sheriff Office Criminal Investigators, Narcotics Investigators, and Deputies along with the assistance of Hancock County Sheriff’s Office and Stone County Sheriff Office were able to identify each of these individuals responsible for cutting the lines to obtain the copper that they later sold to several scrap companies.
Arrest warrants were obtained and each was arrested on the warrants at multiple locations by each agency involved. More arrests are expected in this multi jurisdiction investigation and more charges on these individuals are expected.
Gibson, Ray, Smith Sr, Martin, Lykins and Franklin were booked into the Harrison County Adult Detention Facility in Gulfport, Miss. and charged with one felony count of Receiving Stolen Property. Each are being held in lieu of a $15,000 bond set by Justice Court Judge Brandon Ladner.
David Crenshaw and Robert Barnett were booked into the Harrison County Adult Detention Center and charged with Receiving Stolen Property. Additionally, both had previous drug charges. Crenshaw and Barnett are being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond set by Justice Court Judge Brandon Ladner.
