PASS CHRISTIAN (GG) — The highly anticipated Pirate-Palooza was held on Monday, November 11, at Pass Christian High School (PCHS), drawing a vibrant crowd eager to participate in the festivities. Organized by the school’s  Renaissance Booster, this annual event has become a staple of the community with proceeds benefiting both student and teacher achievements.

The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the Chili Cook Off, where culinary enthusiasts competed for the title of best chili. Attendees savored a variety of delicious recipes, each with its own unique twist. The official winners are as follows:

Best Red Chili – Luckana Catering

Best White Chili – Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce – Pass Christian

People’s Choice – Pass Christian Police Department

Best Themed Area – PCHS Cheerleaders

In addition to the cook-off, the event featured a silent auction with generous donations from local businesses and individuals, providing an opportunity for attendees to bid on unique items while supporting a great cause. This year, the new addition of live music provided by Matt Keel, was a hit and provided a festive atmosphere. Pirate-Palooza also showcased original artwork provided by the talented PCHS art classes.

As the event came to a close, it was clear that Pirate-Palooza 2024 was more than just a fundraiser; it was a celebration of community, creativity, and collaboration. The Pass Christian High School Renaissance Booster looks forward to continuing this tradition in the years to come.
