PASS CHRISTIAN (GG) — Pass Christian Christmas Pet Pawrade will be held on Saturday, December 7th in War Memorial Park in Pass Christian.
For nearly ten years, local Pass Christian residents and additional patrons have stepped forward to celebrate and honor their pets on the Saturday following Christmas in the Pass. Registration begins at 12pm with the walking parade starting at 1pm.
The parade will be by size: Petite, Medium, El Grande, or Troupe; Awards for each class include Best Dressed Pet; Best Dressed Pet/Handler; and Best in Show. Have your pet’s photo taken with Santa! There is a $10 Entry Fee with all proceeds benefiting Animal A.I.D. Rescue of Mississippi.
It’s a tradition to do the parade the day after Christmas in the Pass. Sponsors include Live Oak Animal Hospital and Da Elves.
During the event, pets and their owners are able to take pictures with Santa. Elf of the Pass Mary Bourdin expressed, “I think it’s great. It just shows once again how great Pass Christian is and the people on the Gulf Coast community. They come out. They love it. They get to take pictures of their dog with Santa. It’s just a fun event. We really love it because it is all about the pets and the fact that people come back year after year means they like it too.”
