BILOXI (GG) — On Thursday, October 31, 2024, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office arrested four juveniles on felony counts of possession of stolen property and possession of a handgun by a minor.
According to Harrison County Sheriff Matt Haley, county deputies responded to South Shadow Creek Drive in Biloxi for reports of suspicious persons in the area. Residents in the neighborhood had security cameras on their home showing multiple subjects in dark clothing pulling car door handles and possibly entering vehicles.
While checking the area, the officers made contact with a vehicle occupied by four juveniles. Deputies recovered numerous items inside the vehicle, including a firearm, which were stolen from unlocked vehicles in the area.
All four juveniles were charged with possession of stolen property and possession of a handgun by a minor and transported to the Harrison County Juvenile Detention Center. Additional charges are pending as it is an ongoing investigation.
With the recent uptick of vehicle burglaries and upcoming holidays, Harrison County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind the public to bring inside any valuable items and lock their vehicles each night.
