PASS CHRISTIAN (GG) — Pass Christian First Graders watched their storybook come to Life last week at school.
This school year, Pass Christian Elementary School (PCES) is looking to Discover the Possibilities within themselves and the world through educational experiences. First-grade students got the opportunity to make real-world connections with their realistic fiction story Henry on Wheels by B. B. Bourne.
In the story Henry on Wheels, a little boy rides around his neighborhood to see many different construction sites such as a crane hook unhook a load.
After reading the story, the first-graders got the chance to watch the crane lift and move air conditioning units on and off the school’s roof. PCES students became excited when they got to witness what they read come to life right outside their classroom window last week.
