Fourth Congressional District of Mississippi Representative Steven Palazzo announced Jalynn Bloodsworth and Skye Godley, two Pass Christian Middle School students, as winners of the 2019 Congressional App Challenge in Mississippi’s Fourth Congressional District.
Using block code, Bloodsworth and Godley created “The Alphabet for Preschoolers,” an app designed to help preschoolers learn and remember the alphabet by selecting letters to reveal an animal that starts with the same letter.
“I’d like to congratulate Jalynn and Skye on submitting a very impressive app and being selected as the winners of south Mississippi’s 2019 Congressional App Challenge. It is clear these ladies put a lot of effort into creating this app and I hope their work will inspire others to learn more about STEM education. I’d like to also thank all of the south Mississippi students who participated in this year’s challenge. I look forward to seeing more great submissions in the future,” said Palazzo.
