Freeze Warning is now in effect for southern Mississippi and for most of southeast Louisiana, excluding the lower portions of coastal parishes and south of the tidal lakes, starting Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.  Southern Mississippi may need to be upgraded to a Hard Freeze Warning on Tuesday.

Much colder weather arriving behind a cold front that will move through the area later tonight. Wind chill values during the day Tuesday will be in the 30s or lower for much of the area.

Low temperatures Wednesday morning will be below freezing for all of south Mississippi, and much of southeast Louisiana except the lower portions of the coastal parishes and areas just south of Lake Pontchartrain.

Temperatures may drop below 25 degrees for southern Mississippi for about 2 to 4 hours duration before sunrise Wednesday.

Wind chill values in the 30s arrive during the day Tuesday. Temperatures below freezing starting 8 PM Tuesday night moving southward through 8 PM Wednesday morning.
