On Tuesday evening, law enforcement from across the Mississippi Gulf Coast gathered in the Pass Christian City Hall courtyard to celebrate the 2019 National Night Out Campaign.
Representatives were on hand from the Pass Christian Police Department, US Customs and Border Protection, Mississippi Highway Patrol, Mississippi Coast Crimestoppers and the Harrison County Sheriffs Department to foster goodwill between law enforcement officials and local citizens.
The event featured free pizza from Dominos Pizza, free finger printing, martial arts demonstrations as well as an appearance from McGruff the Crime Dog. Children and adults alike enjoyed the opportunity to see and talk to law enforcement officers on an “up close and personal” basis.
Pass Christian Police Chief Daren Freeman stated, “This is just another opportunity for the citizens to come out to meet with law enforcement agencies that serve them and protect them on a daily basis.”
