Wind Advisory and Gale Warning continue to monitor for rapidly changing condition this afternoon and evening:

* Tornado Watch for portions of Southeast Louisiana, Eastern and Southern Mississippi Coastal Waters

* Effective this Thursday afternoon and evening from 140 PM until 900 PM CDT.

* Primary threats include…

     -A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible widespread damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts to 75 mph possible Isolated large hail events to 1 inch in diameter possible

SUMMARY:  Line of strong to severe thunderstorms will continue eastward towards the Alabama border through the rest of the afternoon into early evening. Damaging winds and a few embedded tornadoes are expected.The tornado watch area is approximately along and 50 statute miles east and west of a line from 10 miles southeast of Boothville LA to 70 miles north northwest of Meridian MS. A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watcharea. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible warnings.
