The SSC/OLA Tennis Team consisting of Omar Tayara, Jacob Estrada, Sebastian Walker, Nour Tayara, Andrea Rodriquez, Paige Palazzo, Victoria Wolf, Hayden Henry, Claire Escher and Isabel Wolf won the overall district 8-4A tournament at Bay High School tennis courts Wednesday afternoon.
Despite the overall victory on the courts, Pass Christian Pirates Girls Tennis Senior Alejandra Rodriguez was victorious in the Girls Singles Division as an individual. This will be the third trip to the state tournament for Rodriguez, as she dropped her match in the state semifinals last year.
Rodriguez won three consecutive matches Wednesday, including her finals victory over sister, Andrea, in the finals.
Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) will host the State Tournament in Oxford on May 28.
