Despite the severely dense fog and wind, the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce provided the annual Touch-A-Truck event at the City Harbor for people of all ages Saturday morning. This community fundraising event provides everyone with the opportunity to experience life-size vehicles and interact with community support leaders like police officers, firemen, construction workers, and many more.
“We were worried about the weather this year, but we still have had amazing community support,” said Long Beach Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Gabrielle Rose. “We are so thankful for our sponsors and the community sponsors, they make it possible for the lower costs for us to host this event.”
21 business sponsored this annual events, which provided a few amusements for kids along with beach access near the Long Beach Harbor. Funds raised from this event go towards the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce’s Teacher Grants, High School Scholarship and Small Business Grants.
