Overview:
There is a slight risk of excessive rainfall and marginal risk of severe thunderstorms on Thursday for all of southeast Louisiana and south Mississippi. A slight risk for excessive rainfall and marginal chance for severe thunderstorms at the northern part of Mississippi.
Possible/Expected Impacts:
- Locally heavy rainfall could lead to flooding of water in low lying areas and areas of poor drainage.
- General rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches with locally higher amounts possible through Thursday. These totals will be higher through the weekend.
- A squall line will be possible Thursday and a few areas could receive damaging winds or a tornado.
