Marginal Risk of Severe Weather Monday morning, the highest chance of seeing an isolated severe thunderstorm will be in the morning and early afternoon hours.
The largest risk of any severe thunderstorm development will be along north of the I-12 corridor in SE Louisiana & SW Mississippi. There is very low confidence that any severe thunderstorms will actually develop on Monday.
Possible/Expected Impacts:
The main threats associated with any severe storms will be:
- Wind gusts up to 60 mph which could down trees and powerlines and/or cause structural damage
In addition to the severe weather threat, rainfall of up to an inch will be possible. Locally heavy rainfall could lead to ponding of water in low lying areas and areas of poor drainage.
