Our Lady Academy (OLA) Lady Crescents swim team, under the leadership of Coach Melissa Hubley, won the MHSAA South State Championship.  For the second consecutive year, the Lady Crescents South State Championship title.

OLA seized the lead in the first heat with Ella Taylor, Grace Bradford, Caroline Maillho and Claire Escher in the 200 Medley Relay.  The Crescents claimed four individual events with Madison Bradley in the 50 Free, Alyssa Talbot in the 100 Fly and Taylor in the 500 Free.

Taking 2nd were Rylie Moore in the 100 Free and 200 Free; Maillho in the 200 IM; Taylor in the 100 Back and Talbot in the 100 Breast.  Following in 3rd were Bradford in the IM; Audrey Chang in the 50 Free; Rosie Beckham in the 100 Fly; Bradley in the100 Free; and Maillho in the 100 Back.

Both the 200 Free Relay team of Maillho, Escher, Moore and Bradley and the 400 Free Relay team of Talbot, Taylor, Moore and Bradley captured 2nd place.

Other state qualifiers were Samantha Arcana in the 200 and 500 Free; Ana Hebert in the 500 Free; Katie Ingram in the 200 IM and 100 Back; Amy Pigott in the 50 and 100 Free; Aly Theobald in the 100 Fly and Lily Yanez in the 500 Free.

OLA heads to the State Championship on October 27th in Tupelo Mississippi.
