Recently, the Long Beach Lady Bearcats recently won the Region IV Middle School Volleyball Championship with a 15-1 record. The ladies lost only one game throughout the season.
LBMS defeated Ocean Springs in the semi-finals and then topped Biloxi in the finals.
Samantha Wilson and Marlenne Hernandez led the Lady Bearcats throughout the season. Mackenzie Morgan and Burke Frank stifled teams defensively while Ada Shirk and Kirsten Williams recorded a majority of offensive points.
Addison Seal and McKaylee Knght chipped in offensively, helped on defense and were all around players.
The team also won the Hancock Tournament near the start of the season.
LBMS Lady Bearcats Coaches were Wayne Ulrich, Justin Powell and Payton Tillman.
