Imagine if you can, being warmly greeted with a refreshing glass of champagne, then enjoying delicious food from some of the best restaurants on the entire Mississippi Gulf Coast, imbibing high quality adult beverages, bidding on some really cool merchandise and dancing the night away.  If you were at the recent highly successful Toast to the Coast, you didn’t have to imagine this experience, you lived it.

Over a thousand people endured the Havana like moderately high temperature plus humidity, as the men sweat and the beautiful ladies glistened the night away.  The emphatic expression again was how everyone said how much they enjoyed another spectacular Toast to the Coast event.  Participants were dressed in everything from coats and ties, posh evening dresses and gowns to those in light linen shirts, pants and of course fedoras. There were even several attendees dressed as colorful cigar vendors, all fitting the “Havana” theme.

Of course the true beneficiaries of this wonderful event is Coast Episcopal School and its wonderful students. Countless sponsors and volunteers worked all year long to ensure the success of this annual event. Although one of the key sponsors is Seemann Composites, other sponsors included Puckett Machinery, Pass Christian and Gulfport Yacht Clubs, Fatsumo Sushi, Gazebo Gazette, WLOX,  Leo Seal Family Foundation, Murky Waters BBQ, Kimball’s Seafood, Lazy Magnolia Brewery and many, many others.

In spite of the elevated temperature and humidity, the overwhelming consensus of attendees was that this years Havana theme was very cool and the entire evening was well worth the price of admission. If you missed this years Toast to the Coast, you can start planning to attend next years event. A guaranteed good time will be had by all and the funds raised help support a truly great cause, Coast Episcopal School.
