(Pass Christian City Attorney Malcolm Jones)

by Hunter Dawkins & Calvin Ishee

Despite a lengthy Wednesday in Chancery Court, the City of Pass Christian and Sazerac Square, LLC were victorious on a dismissal of the lawsuit Thursday afternoon filed by the plaintiffs (Steiner’s family) on the construction of the parking lot.

Harrison County Chancery Court Judge Jim Persons declined to hear any more of the lawsuit Thursday after the testimony of Pass Christian City Planner Danit Simon, Pass Christian Mayor Leo “Chipper” McDermott, Sazerac Square, LLC Owner Adam Pace, and plaintiff Amy Steiner.

More specifics will follow in the next edition of The Gazebo Gazette.
