National Hurricane Center  keeps an area with a 0% chance of development in the next few days near southeast Louisiana. The impacts to the local area have not changed from previous email briefing.

  • Higher than normal rain chances through this afternoon.
  • General rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches with isolated higher amounts. Most of this is expected along and west of the Mississippi River.
  • Heavy rainfall may cause street flooding and ponding of water in low lying areas and areas of poor drainage.
