TWO FLORIDA FUGITIVES ARRESTED IN LONG BEACH AFTER HIGH SPEED CHASE

Wednesday, July 11, Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson announced the arrest of 26 year old Joshua Frank Valentine who resides at 8997 8 Mile Creek Road in Pensacola, Florida on charges of Felony Evasion and Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and 30 year old Julian Davis who lists himself as homeless for a Fugitive from Justice Warrant out of Florida

According to Sheriff Peterson, Harrison County Deputies responded to the Shell Gas Station located at 9053 County Farm Road in Long Beach, MS on a suspicious person call. Deputies made contact with the clerk who stated that three unknown males attempted to purchase items with Walmart gift cards which were denied. The clerk gave deputies a description of the vehicle the males entered when they left the store. Deputies located the vehicle at the Chevron Gas Station next door. Deputies attempted to make contact with the vehicle when the driver fled from the deputies leaving one his passengers behind. Deputies pursued the vehicle south on Beatline Road into Long Beach. The vehicle turned west on Pineville road running stop signs at a high rate of speed. The vehicle turned south on Espy Boulevard when the driver lost control and crashed. The driver identified as Valentine was taken into custody by a Harrison County K-9 after a short foot pursuit. Deputies also located methamphetamine in the vehicle. Valentine was taken to Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, MS for injuries suffered in the crash. Valentine was treated and released to Deputies. Valentine was transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center. Passenger in the car identified as Julian Davis was also arrested on a fugitive from justice warrant out of Florida regarding a stolen property charge. Davis was also transported to Memorial Hospital for treatment and released to Deputies. The other two occupants in the car, including the person left at the store, were released on scene

Valentine was booked into the Harrison County Adult Detention Facility and charged with Felony Evasion and Possession of Methamphetamine. Valentine is being held in lieu of a $75,000.00 total bond set by Judge Brandon Ladner. Davis was booked into the Harrison County Adult Detention Facility and charge with fugitive from justice. Davis is being held under a no bond awaiting extradition to Florida.
