SEABEES BUILDING IN GULFPORT

by Ryan Labadens, NCBC Public Affairs

Builder Constructionman Blade Broussard, a U.S. Navy Seabee with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 1, uses a concrete saw to cut out sections of a simulated runway during airfield damage repair training at Naval Construction Battalion Center (NCBC) Gulfport, Mississippi, June 7, 2018. Seabees deploy to numerous locations throughout the world to build and maintain structures and facilities in support of various U.S. military operations.

The Seabees used concrete saws to cut out sections of a simulated, damaged runway for removal so that it could be repaired with fresh material to make it serviceable.
