LIGHTNING STRIKES TIMBER RIDGE HOUSE

At 10:30am Tuesday morning, a call was made to the Pass Christian Fire Department about a house being struck by lightning.  Pass Christian Fire Department Chief Dwight Gordon confirmed that upon arrival heavy smoke was coming through the upstairs attic inside the house on Poplar Point in Pass Christian.  Chief Gordon reported the neighbor across the canal from the Timber Ridge house witnessed the structure struck by lightning while he stated there were no injuries.  According to Chief Gordon, the homeowners were currently out of state.  Pass Christian Fire Department officials were assisted by the Long Beach & Harrison County Fire Departments.
