City of Long Beach asking for donations to help stray animals

The City of Long Beach is collecting dog food, cat food, cat liter, towels and blankets for lost animals.

“Here in the City Of Long Beach we care for all of the animals we pick up instead of transporting them right away to the Humane Society,” Long Beach officials said. “With that in mind we are always looking for donations of cat or dog food and buckets of clumping cat litter to help us in our kennel care.”

According to the City of Long Beach, the city currently relies on the Humane Society for food and often times they are either out or low on resources.

The City of Long Beach would like to thank you in advance for donations. Donated supplies can be dropped off at the Long Beach Police Department at 202 Alexander Road.
