Even playing in a homecoming road game, rain, and standing against the odds, the Pass Christian High School Pirates shutout the hosting Moss Point Tigers 12-0. In the history of the Moss Point Tigers, a storied Mississippi High School football program, they had never lost on a homecoming game.
Opening the contest, there was no score after the first until early in the second where Pirate quarterback Dustin Allison hit receiver Elijah Barnes for a 7-yard touchdown with 6:13 left in the half.
The extra point was blocked leaving the score at 6-0.
When the Pirates trade possessions, star running back Tionne Frost drove and scored the last touchdown with 3:43 left.
The point after attempt was no good, therefore the new score is 12-0.
The entire second half football was no good for either side, not scoring any points hurt Moss Point worse, though.
Allison went 4 for 6 with 40 yards passing and a touchdown. Frost ran for 85 yards on 20 carries and a score.
Teree Johnson had 9 tackles, 2 tackles for loss and an interception. Michael Carleson also had 9 tackles.
