The road to Jackson was not kind to the Pass Christian Pirates for Friday night’s second game of the season, playing against the Lanier Bulldogs.

After the Pirates took a first-quarter lead with two touchdowns, the Bulldogs recorded 26 points before a late score.

Things steadily got worse for the Pirates in the second half as Lanier scored on a 70-yard reverse touchdown and made the two-point conversion switching the scoreboard 20-14 in favor of the Bulldogs.

With 33 seconds left in the game, the Pirates marched through the plank one last time scoring as Allison completed a touchdown pass to Carter along with the extra point to post a final score of 26-21 Bulldogs.

Next Friday, the Pirates will return home to McDonald Stadium in Pass Christian and take on Perry Central.
